module.audio-video.quicktime.php Errors......

Postby bentasm1 » Sat Mar 01, 2014 2:21 am

Howdy! I'm not sure if this is version 1.x or 2.x, this is a Wordpress latest version (3.8.1) install. I've asked Wordpress support forums for help for the last few months and nobody has an idea, and others are having the problems too without resolution. Here's the issue:

----------
ERROR CODE
---------
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/girlsunb/public_html/wp-includes/ID3/module.audio-video.quicktime.php on line 207

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/girlsunb/public_html/wp-includes/ID3/module.audio-video.quicktime.php on line 215
3824

----------
WHAT DO I DO TO GET THE EROR?
---------
If I upload any mp4 file via the wordpress uploader, this error persists. No problems with other video formats, just mp4's. Any mp4. Doesnt matter how big, how small, who made it, any mp4 creates this error.

-------
WHAT HAVE I DONE ABOUT IT?
------
Hell, I'm not a programmer. But, one thing that makes the error go away, is to delete:

./wp-includes/ID3/module.audio-video.quicktime.php

....but of course, this just means it doesnt create erorrs, not that it works.

I bow down to your grace in assistance with resolving the problem. Help! Anyone?! :)

Download the latest version of getID3:
https://github.com/JamesHeinrich/getID3 ... master.zip

Overwrite your existing getID3 files with the newer ones and let me know if the problem still exists.

James, you are the master. :) Thank you. It worked perfectly. I uploaded every file in the getid3 directory to the /wp-includes/ID3/ directory, even the ones that it didnt have before since there were so many new files, and everything works perfectly now.

I tried before doing the same thing but I was just updating the module.audio-video.quicktime.php file. I wonder if this works now because that file was calling another one too, who knows, but it all works now and many thanks.

You very likely don't need all the new files. However at a minimum you would need to upgrade the module in question (module.audio-video-quicktime.php) plus the two main files (getid3.php and getid3.lib.php), but often one module depends on another so you should at least upgrade all the files you already had there. However uploading the full set does no harm and ensures that every module is going to work.
