I did not yet look into Audible's various formats for DRMed audiobooks, but bought a few in .aa, and would like the music manager I wrote using getID3 to give me an MD5 :)

Exactly. The format has proprietary metadata at the beginning, which changes when playing the file, to store your position in the book. The rest is encrypted MP3. A hash over that part would be great.
