AAC headers

AAC headers

Postby rfor » Wed Apr 27, 2011 4:54 am

I am using getid3 version 1.8.5 and trying to extract duration from an AAC-file.

However, I am getting a error:

Synch pattern (0x0FFF) not found at offset XXX (found 0x0XXX instead) (XXX varies, depending on the file)

The complete array can be found on http://movibooks.com/admin/fileDuration.php.

I have tried two different AAC-encoders (in case there is a problem with the AAC-file) with the same result.

Please send me a sample file that does this (PM me a link, or email directly to info@getid3.org if <10MB).

Thanks. I've rewritten the AAC-ADTS header parsing and it works much better now. Your file is recognized no problem.

The rewrite was done on v1.9.0 development version, but the attached version is an untested back-port of the new code, and should hopefully work for you until v1.9.0 is released.

Thanks for you quick response and correction.
I have replace the old module.audio.aac.php in my existing getid3-directory.

However, there seems to be some problem.
If you check the same link as before you can see which is the output I get.

Hmm, that's what I get for not testing patches... here, try this version instead :)
