Use of ereg function

Post by Pernod » Sun Aug 16, 2009 11:02 pm

The function ereg is used extensively throughout GetiD3. This is deprecated as of PHP 5.3.0 and is removed as of PHP 6.0.0.

Any plans to update this to use preg_match?

Yes, the codebase has already been updated (for a while, actually); unfortunately I haven't had time recently to actually post the updated files. I'll try and get to that sooner rather than later.

Hi,

getID3() stopped working for me, when used under PHP 5.3.
When will there be a version available that is compatible with PHP 5.3.?

Thank you

Should be fixed in v1.8.0, please test and open new thread if issues persist.
