write error for m4a file

Hi,

I am not able to write a tag to a m4a file (file extracted with youtube-dl from youtube movie). The following message appears:

Failed to write tags!<br>Tag format "id3v1" is not allowed on "mp4.mp4" files

The same error appears with all other formats that I try. Any idea how to solve this?

QuickTime style files (including .mp4/m4a and friends) have their own tagging standards, and do not support ID3v1 or ID3v2. getID3 can read QuickTime-style tag data, but cannot write it.

A time passed since last answer in this topic. For nowday, is there any way to write tags in m4a file using getID3?

No. And there very likely won't be any time in the foreseeable future.
