getID3 should currently detect, but not fully support, Ogg Theora video.

I only have 2 sample files and they don't show the behaviour you describe. If you have a small sample file, please post/email/PM me a link to it so I can see what's causing the problem.

Hi

you can download the ogv video from here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18796780/Age%20of%20Aggression%20-%20Skyrim%20Cover%20-%20YouTube.oggtheora.ogv
thanks.

I have added partial support for the current version of Ogg Theora.
https://github.com/JamesHeinrich/getID3 ... f990684822

Partial support means (for now) detection of format, video resolution and frame rate, but no audio data, no bitrate, no playtime.

I would really like 'playtime' to be available for ogv files, any news, any workarounds?

Patches against module.audio.ogg.php are welcome.

I've had a look but I'm really not sure I know enough about video & codecs & file formats to do that, but I appreciate being given the opportunity, thanks. I couldn't find whether the playtime field is the responsibility of Ogg or of Vorbis, and couldn't find a forum on the subject, perhaps if someone else can they might be able to plug Ogg people into the issue here and we might get a solution.
