Read ID3 tags from a live stream?

Post by corbinb2 » Sun Apr 02, 2006 2:05 am

Forgive me for what may seem like a stupid question in advance...

Here is what I would like to do and someone tell me if it can be done?

I have a Windows Media Server stream playing MP3 files from a .WSX playlist. I would like to be able to display the ID3 tags of the currently playing MP3 file on my website and possibly the previously played and next to play MP3 if possible as well, but am more concerned with the currently playing file's info being displayed.

Is it possible to do this with this bit of PHP?

Thanks much for whatever help you can offer.

Save the first 32 kb to a temp file. Run analyze on that file.
