I produce music and as a watermark the industry has developed the ISRC standard. I see ISRC support in WAVs but not in MP3s which is where it is most commonly used i.e.: to track distribution from download sites.
I can currently write these tags via 3rd party software (abander, helium, etc) but need a way to do this on my web server specifically to an MP3 file.
Is there a way I can fudge it to make it work?

ISRC is natively supported in ID3v2, using the TRSC frame.
getID3 will read and write that tag value under the 'isrc' key (same way that TCON is read/written as 'genre', etc).
