yo,
might be the case that this question has been asked before, however I did not find that particular thread.
I am looking for a (php) script which does the following:
1) Read the tag information, file name etc. from a certain mp3 file or several mp3 files.
2) Compare this local information with information from a reliable online database and decide whether the local information should be replaced with the information gathered from the online DB.
3) Output the "real correct" information from the online DB. Next thing could be storing this final information in a local MySQL DB, update the tag info or whatever.
The idea is of course to get some order into my chaotic mp3 file collection. I need comformable info about genre, title etc. for thousands of files which should be done by a program which takes song length, file name and all other available tag info into consideration and replaces/updates it all _automatically_.
Is there such a script/program ?
Thank you very much for help!! :)
